Objects
As is detailed in the Constitution, some of the objects of the Pharmaceutical Wholesalers Association (PWA) are;
To provide a means for the discussion and exchange of ideas and opinions between
members on all matters of mutual interest.
To ensure the continuity of adequate supplies of products essential to the
maintenance of public health in the national interest.
To safeguard the collective and individual trade rights, privileges and interests of its
members.
To make representations to Government, Provincial, Municipal and/or public bodies
in regard to matters of national interest and the welfare of it’s members.
To enter into any arrangement with any Government authorities,municipal. Lo cal or
otherwise that may seem conducive to the Association’s objects and to obtain from
any such authorities any rights, privileges and concessions which the association may think it desirable to obtain and to carry on or exercise and comply with any such arrangements, rights, privileges and concessions.
To institute, support or obtain any order, ruling or legislation to enable the
association to carry any of its objects into effect or for any purpose which may seem
expedient,and to oppose any proceedings, applications, rulings or legislation which
may seem calculated directly or indirectly to prejudice the association’s interest, or
those of it’s members.
To formulate and maintain a code for the purpose of creating and promoting a high
standard of trad e practice among members
To establish liaison and to cooperate with any other organised body or bodies having
objects or interest similar in whole or in part to those of the association.
To cooperate with any Association, institutions, funds, trusts, and conveniences
calculated to further the interest of members of the association
